Instruction Course
- Each Chief Author can submit one instruction course only.
- Maximum of 5 co-authors can be added
- Duration would be 55 minutes
- Each author can participate in maximum of 3 instruction courses.
Faculty Topic Submission:
- Each Faculty can submit TWO Topics on any two specialties of their choice for consideration
- Deadline for topic submission July 31st, 2026.
- Registration is mandatory for faculty.
Video Submission
- The Video should be based on challenging case scenario
- Each Author can submit maximum of three videos.
- It should be a 4 mins recording in MP4 format
- Abstract should be submitted by 31st July 2026
- The videos with voice overlay would be preferred.
- The selected video will be announced a month before the conference
Rules for Free Paper Presentation
- The paper presentation must be of maximum duration of 5 minutes.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- If the presenter is a Postgraduate Resident, a letter from the Head of Department (HOD) confirming their status as a Resident/DNB candidate must be submitted.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
- Proof of UPSOS membership/application is mandatory for consideration for awards in the session.
- The best paper from each session will qualify for the Final Round.
- The winner of the Final Round shall be awarded the Best Paper Award. (Dr Sandeep Mithal Award)
- The last date for abstract submission is 31st July 2026.
Dr. Mohan Lal Gold Medal Symposium
- This award shall be given to an ophthalmologist aged 35 years or below for presenting the best paper in the symposium.
- Preference shall be given to work carried out by a single individual.
- The candidate shall submit an abstract of 250 words by 31st July 2026.
- The topic of the symposium is: Glaucoma
- The best paper shall be selected by the judges in the conference on the basis of originality, scope of work, and conclusions drawn.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
Dr. P. Awasthi Medal
- This medal shall be awarded to ophthalmologists aged 40 years or above.
- Preference shall be given to work carried out by a single individual.
- The candidate shall submit an abstract of 250 words (31st July 2026) along with the full text by 15th August 2026.
- The author shall mention his/her name, address, and full title of the paper on the first page, and a short title should be written in the top right corner of every page of the original manuscript.
- The selected paper shall be presented by the author during the Annual Conference.
- A panel of judges shall select the best work on the basis of originality, extent of work, and conclusions drawn.
- The decision of the judges shall be communicated to the winning candidate at least one month before the Annual Conference.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
Dr. V. N. Raizada Memorial Medal
- There shall be no age restriction for this medal.
- The candidate shall submit an abstract/summary of the work in 250 words by 31st July 2026.
- Selected papers shall be presented during the Annual Conference in the aforementioned sessions.
- The selection of the best paper shall be based on the merit of the work, simplicity, originality of ideas, and quality of presentation, as judged by the panel of judges.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
Dr. P. K. Pandey Award
- There shall be no age restriction for this award.
- This award shall be given for original work in Community Ophthalmology.
- The candidate shall submit an abstract/summary of the work in 250 words by 31st July 2026.
- Selected papers shall be presented during the Annual Conference in the aforementioned sessions.
- The best paper shall be selected by a panel of judges on the basis of excellence of work and presentation.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
Dr. Awadh Dubey Award
- There shall be no age restriction for this award.
- This award shall be given for work related to Surgical Ophthalmology that can benefit the rural population.
- The candidate shall submit an abstract/summary of the work in 250 words by 31st July 2026.
- Selected papers shall be presented during the Annual Conference in the aforementioned sessions.
- The best paper shall be selected by a panel of judges.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
Dr. Jitendra Agrawal Award
- There shall be no age restriction for this award.
- This award shall be given only to ophthalmologists of Indian origin.
- Nominations for this award may be submitted by an individual, organization, or institution.
- The last date for nomination shall be 31st August 2026 up to 5:00 PM.
- This award shall be given in the field of Oculoplasty or Paediatric Ophthalmology.
- The committee shall jointly decide upon the nominations for this award.
- The award shall consist of a certificate and a cash prize of ₹10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only).
- The award shall be presented during the Inaugural Ceremony of the Annual Conference.
Dr V Thakur Award
- There shall be no age restriction for this award.
- This award shall be given for best paper in Cornea
- The candidate shall submit an abstract/summary of the work in 250 words by 31st August 2026.
- Selected papers shall be presented during the Annual Conference in the aforementioned sessions.
- The best paper shall be selected by a panel of judges.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
Dr Prakash Gupta Award Session
- This award shall be given to an ophthalmologist aged 45 years or below for presenting the best paper in cataract specialty
- The candidate shall submit an abstract of 250 words by 31st July 2026.
- The best paper shall be selected by the judges in the conference on the basis of originality, scope of work, and conclusions drawn.
- The presenter must be a registered delegate of the conference.
- The presenter must be a member of UPSOS or should have applied for UPSOS membership.
